The Sky Is Falling!

Reflecting on the latest release and what is next.

It’s finally out

Hey, I just wanted to record some quick thoughts before I lose them on the release of The Sky Is Falling. Every time I go through the release process, I'm reminded of how much work it is, but the reward is worth it. I'm learning that I love sharing music as much as I love creating it. I'm having a good time and I hope it shows. I know the same can be said for the band. The respect for this music is definitely there and it's super fun to perform with other musicians that are so experienced on a number of levels beyond me. With each song, I try to bring it to the best version of itself. I believe that we were successful with The Sky Is Falling. I'm proud of it. I'm proud of the band in following through to record this with everyone on the final tracks in the time frame that we had with Ken moving to Denver. We did it!

I want to give a special shout out to Ken Mockler, Mark heaps, Jack Schultz for making the song the best it could be, Ryan Romana on promotions with Pres junkie, and Steve Glaze who mixed in mastered at Tone Freq Studios. This is the dream team that got this music out.

What’s Next

Enjoy The Sky Is Falling! But know it’s a cliffhanger. In response to Ken's news that he was moving to Denver we had two songs in flight. The Sky Is Falling as one of them and the next one will be announced shortly. I'm planning on that dropping August 15. These songs have a relationship that I'm excited for you to hear.

If you haven't heard, upon Ken's departure, he hooked us up with a new drummer named Mike Hall. I met him first at our last show at the South Austin beer Garden and we set up a time to meet and spoke for a couple of hours. Mike then came to the first mozworth rehearsal, which was recorded. When we listened back to those recordings, it sounded like an amazing live show and it was the first time we ever played together! Mike will now be the official drummer of mozworth and will be playing with us at the South Austin beer Garden, August 1!

Tune into KLBJ this Sunday at 7pm to hear an interview and The Sky Is Falling and Postcard! If you tuned in last Sunday, I’m sorry for the mix up.

Tune into FoxNews7 on July 31st and watch us perform live on Good Day Austin!
